The G-040 Schuko is a high-quality built-in outlet designed to be mounted into a chassis. This product is a proprietary development by Gigawatt. This outlet is specially designed to be installed in a housing for a power device such as a power strip or anti-interference filters. Actually, the Gigawatt G-040 fits anywhere a secure and reliable connection is needed.

The Gigawatt G-040 body is made of reinforced black nylon. The G-040 is equipped with screw-threaded connections for the terminals. The connections are made of directly silver-plated brass, therefore without using an intermediate metal layer. Usually a layer of copper or nickel is added, but this would cause poor serial resistance and thus lower the voltage. A direct silver coating minimizes the resistance of the connection to an almost unmeasurable level, close to absolute zero. This greatly improves the sonic characteristics of the end product. A strong, stable connection, larger contact surface and a thick layer of silver guarantee perfect contact with the plug pins. Additionally, the metal parts have been cryogenically treated and demagnetized. To increase protection against curious children's hands, the G-040 connection can also be equipped with integrated shock protection housings. The connection also has matching markings on the chassis that assist with proper installation, and the correct phase connection is also indicated. The connection must be fastened to the device chassis using bolts.
