The Gigawatt LC-Y Evo 3X4 is a shielded installation cable, designed to optimally power audio and video systems that are sensitive to interference. This new cable, a proprietary design by Gigawatt itself, improves the efficiency of every single-phase electrical network with a voltage between 110-240V, thereby utilizing the full potential of every system. An uninterrupted power flow without delay or loss is made possible in the first place by the current-carrying conductors in the LC-Y Evo cable. The current-carrying conductors are made up of three solid cores, each with a cross-section of 4 mm2. Solid cores simply perform better than twisted cables. The cores of the LC-Y Evo are made of 99.997% pure copper (OFHC C10100), and are additionally subjected to an annealing process (very slow cooling), giving them a uniform structure and better conductivity. According to Gigawatt, the use of solid cores is essential for perfect power delivery. Twisted power cables are certainly flexible, but sound noticeably inferior. This is due to a certain amount of deformation in such a cable. The Gigawatt LC-Y Evo is the successor to the LC-Y MK3+ cable, and features a modified conductor geometry compared to its predecessor. This new geometry provides an even more effective low-pass RFI filter, and is characterized by greater resistance to electromagnetic interference (EMI). As a result, fewer disturbances enter the cable. A new, flexible insulation material PK90AT28 was also used as the insulator for the conductors, which has a very low dielectric value. The solid conductors of the Gigawatt LC-Y Evo cable are protected by a static shield, made of aluminium-polyester foil with an internal, tin-coated copper drain wire. The tight construction of the static shield covers 100% of the cable's surface and provides perfect (100%) protection against all types of EMI and RFI external interference. Additionally, the shielding construction prevents the appearance and spread of internal disturbances. The wires together with the shield are enclosed in a special soft plastic material that insulates the LC-Y Evo cable against external vibrations. External vibrations also affect the performance (sound) of a cable. In the improved LC-Y EVO cable, this inner insulation layer is made of a transparent TPV56 polymer which has excellent damping properties. The use of this new material also means that the entire wire has become more flexible. However, the Gigawatt LC-Y cable is still not easy to pull through a tight conduit with tight bends. The entire cable is covered with a flexible but highly durable protective sheath made of insulation material GA 70AT03. Installation of the LC-Y EVO 3X4 cable is recommended for use in listening rooms, recording studios, cinema halls, etc. The Gigawatt LC-Y Evo complies with the requirements of the LDV73/23/EEC and 93/68/EEC directives, so it can also be used in places that are particularly exposed to electromagnetic radiation, such as airports, hospitals, computer stations or rooms with sensitive measuring equipment. Home power circuits made with the LC-Y Evo cable are the perfect solution for people who are sensitive to electromagnetic radiation.
