General : The Ansuz Acoustics Mainz C2 is a high-end power cord from Ansuz Acoustics in Denmark. The Mainz C2 sits above the Mainz A2. The cable is extremely well finished with high-quality gold-plated connectors in an aluminum housing and effective shielding. The Ansuz Acoustics Mainz C2 uses the unique 'Direct Ground Connector' technology (a technique that minimizes the ground potential between different devices, resulting in a lower noise floor) and 'Double Inverted Helix Coil' technologies (a technique where the cables are wound and configured in a special way in a double helix pattern, reducing self-inductance in the cable) from Ansuz Acoustics. From the Ansuz C2 onwards, an additional technique is also applied, namely the AARC (Anti Aerial Resonance Coil) technique. This technique ensures that the cable does not function as an antenna (a property that all cables naturally have). As a result, RFI and EMI signals are absorbed and eliminated, which in turn results in an even lower noise floor and cleaner sound reproduction. The AARC technique is also used in the reference cables of Ansuz Acoustics. The C2 series is a clear step forward compared to the previous generation of Ansuz Acoustics cables, yet they have not become significantly more expensive. This fact ensures that new standards are set in the price-to-quality ratio of Ansuz Acoustics cables. The sound quality is approximately equal, if not better, than the more expensive previous D (Diamond) series from Ansuz Acoustics.

Sound Characteristics : The Ansuz Acoustics Mainz C2 has an enormously natural and organic sound, just like all other cables and products from Ansuz Acoustics. The sound of the Ansuz Acoustics Mainz C2 is not necessarily very different in character from that of the lower X2, P2, and A2 series, but the sound is clearly more beautiful, better defined, and more spatial. Everything you hear is pure music. You could talk about the body of the bass and the detail in the treble, but with Ansuz Acoustics we don't need to discuss that.
