General : The HiFi-Tuning Supreme³ RCCB is the first true audiophile residual current circuit breaker made by an audio brand. Before the HiFi-Tuning Supreme³ RCCB came to market, the Doepke DFS-2 was the standard, which is an excellent residual current circuit breaker better than standard models, but it now costs twice the price of the HiFi-Tuning Supreme³ RCCB. HiFi-Tuning is also a German brand specialized in audio tuning & upgrades, while Doepke (also from Germany) is more of an electronics brand that is not as focused on high-end audio. According to the HiFi-Tuning importer (formerly a Doepke dealer), the Supreme³ RCCB also performs at a higher level than the DFS-2.

The residual current circuit breaker has been mandatory in modern Dutch electrical panels since 1975. The residual current circuit breaker is connected before the group switches, also called meter panel switches. The best meter panel switch on the market is the Gigawatt G-16A 2P, so the HiFi-Tuning Supreme³ RCCB is connected before the Gigawatt G-16A 2P. The meter panel switch protects your system against overvoltage and short circuits, but the residual current circuit breaker protects against leakage current, for example if someone pushes a nail into an outlet, or if a live wire inside an appliance with a conductive housing comes loose and contacts the casing.
