General : The Ansuz Acoustics Digitalz D2 Ethernet is the first model from the reference series of ethernet network cables from Ansuz Acoustics from Denmark. The cable is excellently finished with high-quality gold-plated connectors in an aluminum housing, pure silver-plated conductors and effective shielding. The Ansuz Digitalz D2 Ethernet is a beautiful, thick and rigid cable. The Ansuz Digitalz D2 Ethernet employs distinctive techniques to keep the noise floor as low as possible, allowing the signal to arrive clean at the receiver. The Ansuz Digitalz D2 Ethernet features even more of these noise-suppressing techniques than the two models below it, the X2 and the A2. The Ansuz Digitalz D2 is therefore clearly better than the A2 and the X2. The Ansuz D2 sets new standards in the musicality of ethernet cables. The (sound) quality is of an exceptional level, and often better than its equally priced competition.

Technology : The Ansuz Digitalz D2 Ethernet utilizes Ansuz Acoustics' unique Tesla Coil technology. The principle of this Tesla Coil technology is simple : a Tesla Coil consists of 1 coil and 1 counter coil. As soon as a noise spike passes through the coil, the counter coil creates a counter spike out of phase, which cancels out the initial noise spike and thus reduces noise. You have active and passive Tesla Coils in various types and sizes, one type is more efficient than the other but the result remains the same, the more of these Tesla Coils are employed, the less noise enters your signal path and the more beautiful, quieter and detailed the reproduction of the recordings you listen to. The X2 and A2 ethernet cables from Ansuz also use Tesla Coil technology, but to a lesser extent than in the D2. The Ansuz Digitalz D2 Ethernet has 2 Passive End Coils, which are passive Tesla Coils attached to the conductors at the ends of the cable, thereby immediately reducing noise on both sides. Where the X2 uses 1 Passive End Coil, the A2 and D2 use 2 Passive End Coils. What the Ansuz Digitalz D2 Ethernet has that the X2 does not is a Passive Cable Tesla Coil, this Tesla Coil is located in the middle of the cable and is a visible bump on the cable, designed to eliminate a greater amount of noise. Additionally, the Ansuz Digitalz A2 Ethernet and D2 Ethernet also have conductors that consist of 2 times as much surface area as the X2 for better signal transmission. But where the Ansuz Digitalz D2 Ethernet truly distinguishes itself is in the use of Active Cable Tesla Coils, these Tesla Coils are integrated into the oval block which is attached to the cable. The Active Cable Tesla Coils work under voltage, making them up to 4 times more effective at eliminating noise than the Passive Cable Tesla Coils. To utilize the Active Cable Tesla Coils technology, you will need to connect the oval block on the D2 Ethernet cable with the included Jack cable to an Ansuz PowerSwitch or PowerBox. These power the Active Cable Tesla Coils and ensure they are energized, which allows the Active Cable Tesla Coils to do their work, and noise is very effectively eliminated resulting in a very pronounced music reproduction with a quieter background and more detail.

Sound Characteristics : The Ansuz Acoustics Digitalz D2 Ethernet has an enormously natural and organic sound, just like all other cables and products from Ansuz Acoustics. The sound of the Ansuz Acoustics Digitalz D2 Ethernet shares many characteristics you also find in the higher series of Ansuz Acoustics. The Ansuz Digitalz D2 Ethernet is clearly a step up compared to the A2 and the X2, the sound is more musical, more refined and you can more easily hear what happens in the recording. Everything you hear is pure music, we could talk about the body of the bass and the detail in the treble.
