General : The Ansuz Acoustics Mainz C2 is a high-end power cord from Ansuz Acoustics in Denmark. The Mainz C2 sits above the Mainz A2. The cable is very high-quality with premium gold-plated connectors in an aluminum housing and effective shielding. The Ansuz Acoustics Mainz C2 uses Ansuz Acoustics' unique 'Direct Ground Connector' technology (a technique that minimizes the ground potential between different devices, resulting in a lower noise floor) and 'Double Inverted Helix Coil' technology (a technique in which the cables are wound and configured in a special double helix pattern that reduces self-inductance in the cable). Starting with the Ansuz C2, an additional technique is also applied: the AARC (Anti Aerial Resonance Coil) technology. This technique prevents the cable from functioning as an antenna (a property all cables naturally have), thereby absorbing and eliminating RFI and EMI signals, which in turn results in an even lower noise floor and cleaner reproduction. The AARC technique is also used in Ansuz Acoustics' reference cables. The C2 series is a clear step forward compared to the previous generation of Ansuz Acoustics cables, yet they haven't become much more expensive. This means new standards are being set in the price-to-quality ratio of Ansuz Acoustics cables. The sound quality is approximately equal to, if not better than, the more expensive previous D (Diamond) series from Ansuz Acoustics.

Sound Characteristics : The Ansuz Acoustics Mainz C2 has an enormously natural and organic sound, just like all other cables and products from Ansuz Acoustics. The sound of the Ansuz Acoustics Mainz C2 is not necessarily very different in character from the lower X2, P2, and A2 series, but the sound is clearly more beautiful, better defined, and more spatial. Everything you hear is pure music. We could talk about the body of the bass and the detail in the treble. But with Ansuz Acoustics, we don't need to go into that; instead, we talk about the enormous musical qualities that Ansuz Acoustics products bring with them.
