Technology : The Ascendo System F is a technical masterpiece. At the front you'll find the 28mm textile dome tweeter and the 180mm midrange driver with NRSC membrane. The 225mm bass woofer is made from the same NRSC membrane and is housed in the cabinet, supported by a port at the front. What's special about the Ascendo System F is that it also features a magneto-static ribbon tweeter at the rear, which can simply be switched on and off with a switch at the back of the speakers. This ribbon tweeter supports the high tones and provides a more balanced sound, even in smaller rooms where the Ascendo System F is positioned closer to the rear wall, the ribbon tweeter does its job excellently. The top section with the dome tweeter is mounted on a rail and can be moved backwards and forwards to improve timing at different listening positions – the higher you sit relative to the Ascendo, the further back the top section should be moved and vice versa. The distance of the top section is indicated with a measurement plate screwed onto the speaker, so you can easily set both speakers to the same position.
