The bass is powerful, smooth and beautifully balanced in relation to the rest of the frequencies. The bass does not dominate, nor is it lacking, and even with speakers of average to even low efficiency, the Audio Research VS55 delivers convincing bass reproduction. Voices and instruments have plenty of body and emotion and are simply very pleasant and interesting to listen to. The treble range is detailed and comfortable. The spatial imaging is expansive and engaging, you feel right at home while listening to the Audio Research VS55. The Audio Research VS55 is versatile in reproducing different music genres and connecting to different speakers.
