The Bryston BCD-1 is a beautiful and excellent-sounding CD player from Canada. The BCD-1 features a beautifully polished solid aluminum front panel and is otherwise entirely metal-constructed. The internal technology is also completely up to date. 0.1% tolerance resistors and polystyrene capacitors throughout. Beautiful thick circuit boards contain the discrete components of the BCD-1. The remote is also a milled aluminum construction, so no plastic case. The output stage is a balanced class A discrete version, built for maximum sound quality. The Bryston BCD-1 is therefore a very solid and thoughtfully constructed CD player, and it sounds accordingly excellent. The Bryston BCD-1 sounds beautifully analog. Nothing harsh or other nonsense.
