Overview : The Gigawatt LC-2 MK3+ powercord is the successor to the excellent LC-2 MK3 powercord. This LC-2 MK3+ version was made with a newer and purer copper formula. The cable is multi-shielded and equipped with high-quality gold-plated connectors

Technical : Gigawatt uses only pure quality in their products. The distinction between all Gigawatt cables lies in the choice of materials, the amount of conductive material, the damping properties, the shielding and the connectors. The Gigawatt LC-2 MK3+ consists of 6 solid core pure OFHC copper cables. OFHC stands for Oxygen Free High Conductivity 99.997% copper. The Gigawatt LC-2 MK3+ powercord contains two solidcore 1.5mm² (thus 3mm² total) conductors for the Phase, two solidcore 1.5mm² (thus 3mm² total) for the Neutral and a single solidcore 1.5 mm² conductor for the Ground. The shielding is connected to ground for better RFI rejection. The insulation of the Gigawatt LC-2 MK3+ is made of Polyethylene and the outer damping layer is made of PVC. The conductors in the LC-2 MK3+ powercord are shielded with Teflon and these are then completely shielded with aluminum foil which is connected to ground. The very low impedance of the cable makes the LC-2 MK3+ suitable for better Hi-Fi and High End audio and video installations. This cable can be used for power strips/conditioners, heavy power amplifiers as well as low current source or peripheral equipment.

Listening : The Gigawatt LC-2 MK3+ has a tight and neutral sound. The bass is rhythmic and well-defined. The spatial imaging is transparent and separates nicely from the speakers and the entire musical reproduction is very lively. The Gigawatt LC-2 MK3+ is a clear step up from standard powercords supplied with equipment and the LC-1 cables from Gigawatt.
