General : The Gigawatt LC-3 Evo Anniversary powercord is a special and limited edition version of the LC-3 Evo powercord. This Anniversary edition was sold back then with an Anniversary Edition of the PC-1 Evo powerconditioner. This cable was never sold separately and because of that you rarely see this version on the second hand market. The Anniversary Edition of the LC-3 Evo features gold-plated connectors with the metal housing that you also found in the most expensive LS-2 powercord from Gigawatt. This LC-3 Evo cable comes quite close to the Reference cables LS-1 Evo and LS-2 Evo. This very high quality powercord is very suitable for many hifi and video components, and also the Gigawatt Powerstrips and Powerconditioners perform excellently with this cable.

Technology : The Gigawatt LC-3 Evo Anniversary has conductors which together consist of 8 pieces of 1.6mm² cables which each consist of 7 individual strands. Gigawatt chose for the LC-3 Evo for the first time to replace the massive solidcore conductors with 7 slightly smaller solidcore cables, we call this ourselves 'semi solidcore'. This makes the cable much more flexible than its fully solidcore predecessor. Of course there is also a difference in sound, more on that later. The conductors also consist of Gigawatt's latest Oxygen Free High Conductivity 99.997% copper formula. The Gigawatt LC-3 Evo Anniversary powercord has 3 conductors for the Phase, 3 conductors for the Neutral and 2 conductors for the Ground, in addition the entire aluminum shielding is actively connected to ground for better RFI rejection. The insulation of the LC-3 Evo Anniversary is made of Polyethylene and the vibration damping layer is made of PVC. The very low impedance of the cable makes the LC-3 Evo Anniversary suitable for better High End audio and video installations.

Listening : The LC-3 Evo Anniversary sounds more powerful, more spacious and easier than its predecessor : the LC-3 MK3+. Due to the Anniversary gold-plated connectors, the LC-3 Evo Anniversary also sounds more saturated and refined compared to the standard LC-3 Evo. The dynamics are superb, and not only the fine dynamics, also the large dynamic jumps are followed effortlessly and reproduced with full enthusiasm. The bass reproduction is tighter, deeper, and better defined than before. The Gigawatt LC-3 Evo Anniversary powercord is due to its overall very high quality very suitable for all reference class High End Audio and Video equipment. You can use the Gigawatt LC-3 Evo Anniversary on both power filters/distributors, power amplifiers or Constant Current equipment such as digital/analog sources or auxiliary equipment.
