General : The Gigawatt PC-4 Evo is designed as the ultimate Reference 3 Zone Power Conditioner with 12 outlets. It is the largest and heaviest power conditioner from Gigawatt, and features the most advanced power purification circuits that exist, and also protects your valuable music system against overload. It is the perfect power supply for even the most comprehensive Hifi, High-End and Video installation. Unlike the Powerplants of some competitors, the Gigawatt PC-4 Evo consumes very little power itself, only a few watts. A Competitor Powerplant that has to deliver 500 Watts also consumes about 500 Watts itself, together so 1000 watts, gets hot, and wears out. In all cases it is the HC version of the Power Cord. The PC-4 Evo uses a 32A Powerconn Connector for the power input. The power cord used is very important, as it determines the final improvement in sound quality of your PC Evo Power Conditioner. The best cable you have available, and which is suitable for Power Conditioners, must be used for the PC Evo units. Then your Hifi equipment is optimally supplied with clean power, and the music equipment sounds best. The Gigawatt PC-4 Evo is the best, largest and most ultimate power supply for your High End installation. The Gigawatt PC-4 Evo is very solidly built, entirely of Stainless Steel, and has a solid aluminum front and rolling bar isolation feet.

Technical :

The Gigawatt PC-4 Evo is equipped with advanced, in-house made, Multi Stage Parallel filters (High Flux Filtering Cores) instead of the usual transformers.

This Gigawatt PC-4 Evo is also equipped with 3 separate zones. A separate zone for Digital devices (CD players, DA Converters, Streamers), a separate zone for low power Analog (Preamplifiers, Phono preamplifiers, Turntables) and a separate zone for High Power Analog (Amplifiers, Power Amplifiers) The advantage of this is that the connected devices can no longer influence each other. A power amplifier tends to send current back into the grid, and this is prevented in this way. The Gigawatt PC-4 Evo is made of very high quality components. Due to the new high efficiency filter circuits, the components are mounted on new boards, soldered with silver solder.

The circuit boards themselves are double-sided, and equipped with 550 um thick copper traces which are silver-plated. Power distribution is via heavy polished and silver-plated copper bars and the internal wiring is executed as silver-plated OFC copper, insulated with teflon, sourced from the Gigawatt LC-2 Evo Power Cord. The Gigawatt PC-4 Evo has a special protection system, implemented without wires or fuses. Fuses affect signal speed, and are therefore not used. The overvoltage protection circuit is controlled by a sensor at the input, and is equipped with a Plasma relay. This way the Gigawatt PC-4 Evo offers your system excellent protection against overvoltage or power surges.

Proper operation of the Gigawatt PC-4 Evo is indicated by an LED Voltage Display on the front. This shows the incoming voltage exactly. The Gigawatt PC-4 Evo is also equipped with an extra circuit that monitors the power supply. Also very useful is the Phase indication, by means of a red LED on the rear. If it lights up, then the PC-4 Evo is connected incorrectly and you must reverse the power plug. This way your system is always properly connected to the correct phase and the Gigawatt PC-4 Evo functions as it should. The Gigawatt PC-4 Evo has power distribution bars of solid OFC copper, which are then silver-plated and polished. The Gigawatt PC-4 Evo is equipped with 12 high quality Gigawatt G-040 Schuko outlets. These outlets are equipped with heavy brass bars, which are silver-plated and polished at Gigawatt. The large contact surface, and the heavy silver layer, guarantee a very long service life, even with repeated insertion and removal of plugs.

DC Blockerboard : A DCB removes the last traces of DC components from the power. Despite the fact that we use 230 Volt AC in the Netherlands, there is often still a few volts of DC in the supplied power. Your equipment can react badly to it. The transformer can start to hum, and your Hifi equipment can also start to behave restlessly. A DC Blockerboard removes the DC components from the power so that your Hifi equipment performs optimally. By the way, an isolation transformer also does this well, but an isolation transformer is again very bad for sound quality, so don't use it.

Power Buffer : In addition to the fast and compact power storage technology used in the PF-1 and PF-2 Power Strips, and the PC-1 Evo, the PC-4 Evo has 3 extra large storage buffers (Double Buffer High Capacity Power Banks). The largest of all Gigawatt power conditioners. Each zone has its own buffers. The great advantage is an additional increase in speed and power for your connected equipment, and even better separation between the 3 zones. The PC-4 Evo sounds therefore even cleaner, more open and more powerful.
