General : The R3 from British KEF is an impressive speaker with a 3-way design in a compact enclosure. What makes this design special is of course the Uni-Q coaxial driver. The tweeter is positioned at the center of the midrange driver, making it the closest approximation to a point source. The Uni-Q driver not only looks sleek but also provides greater coherence and precision in reproduction. The foundation, the bass, has not been forgotten. KEF has designed a cone that combines paper and aluminum, very light yet extremely rigid and linear. The beautifully finished cabinet is equipped with internal bracing and provides a resonance-free and stable platform. The sound of the KEF R3 can be described as detailed, fairly neutral, and with a well-founded bass reproduction. The KEF R3 is certainly at a level where the differences between amplifiers are clearly noticeable, so a quality amplifier is definitely recommended. This set of KEF R3 is in excellent condition and for only € 850,00 they offer, in our opinion, a very good price/quality ratio!
