Technology : The Krell FPB-250M features very advanced technology for its time that continues to perform fantastically today. The Krell FPB-250M operates fully in class A for powerful and linear reproduction, and they feature a technology that Krell calls 'Sustained Plateau Bias II ™'. This technology ensures that the Krell FPB-250M always remain 100% in class A but do not always use 100% of their power at every volume level. This makes the amplifiers much more efficient in their energy consumption and also generates less heat. The Krell FPB-250M are fully balanced, so you should connect them with XLR cables to a preferably fully balanced preamplifier such as a Bricasti M20 or Pass Labs XP-20 etc. The output stage is fully regulated, preventing any loss of power. The result is unprecedented control over even the most difficult speakers.
