The Lector Digitube S-192 is a very musical high resolution Tube DA converter, and equipped with various digital inputs. There is a fast USB-2 input, two SPDIF inputs, an AES-EBU input and Toslink is also present. The Lector Digitube S-192 is built around the excellent 32 Bit AKM High Resolution DAC and a tube output stage with selected ECC-81 tubes. The USB input is the new High Speed 384KHz/32 Bit Class 2 USB connection. Ready for the future. The Single Ended output of the Digitube S-192 is directly driven by the output tubes, which are driven by the shortest possible path by the AKM DAC. A shorter signal path is hardly possible. This beautifully built Lector Digitube S-192 sounds truly excellent and very musical. Various comparisons with other DACs up to 8000€ show to everyone's surprise, and hear, that the Lector Digitube S-192 simply sounds better. More musical. The soundstage really comes alive, and there are many fine details to hear. Musical instruments really come alive, and don't sound as if they've been processed. Very special.
