General : Heavy compact floor-standing reference loudspeaker made of solid aluminum parts.

Technology : The Magico Q3 is a reasonably compact floor-standing loudspeaker suitable for medium to large rooms. The cabinet is sealed with no bass reflex ports that could cause issues. The cabinet itself is very advanced. It is entirely made of heavy T6061 Grade aluminum plates, internally braced with aluminum plates as well, and completely screwed and glued together. The Magico Q3 therefore weighs no less than 120kg per speaker net. The drivers are the renowned Magico Nanotec units, with neodymium magnets. The Magico Q3 features 3 fast 7-inch woofers in the large aluminum enclosure. The drivers are mounted on the rear of the CNC-milled rounded-off front. The rounding provides better diffraction so the sound truly separates from the cabinet. The 6-inch midrange driver has its own enclosure, and the pure beryllium 25mm tweeter sits in its own compartment. The filter technology is Magico's own elliptical Crossover, with variable filter slopes. Technically speaking, the Magico Q3 is a true tour de force, with the very advanced cabinet as the highlight. The Magico Q3 is not only a technical masterpiece, but sonically it is something truly special.

Listening : We know the Magico S3 MK1 and MK2 well, of course. Exceptionally good-sounding loudspeakers, but they cannot stand in the shadow of this Magico Q3. The Magico Q3 is superior in every respect. You hear absolutely no compression in the sound, and essentially the Magico Q3 sounds only like pure music. What you put in comes back out 1:1. No coloration, no rumble from the cabinet, no peaks or dips, the sound of the Q3 is truly as neutral and uncolored as it can possibly be.
