General : The Magico SPod utilizes the same design principles as the renowned QPod and MPod. The SPod is the ideal floor coupling mechanism for Magico's S-series, Q-series, and V-series speakers. Based on the scientific design of Constrained Layer Damping, unwanted mechanical energy is directed away from the enclosure.

Sound Impact : Increased dynamics, improved focus, greater resolution, and better reproduction of the original musical performance as intended during the recording process. A more natural presentation and better balance. You could simply describe it as a better overall picture.

Technical : The main structure of the SPOD consists of multiple machined aluminum pieces that form a vertical stack during assembly. A round solid pure copper layer is clamped by upper and lower aluminum layers that together facilitate the function of Constrained Layer Damping.

Constrained Layer Damping ( CLD ) : CLD is an engineering technique for suppressing vibrations. Typically, a viscoelastic or other damping material is clamped between two rigid materials which together provide ideal damping against resonances and vibrations.

Assembly : An adjustable cap with spikes can be screwed into the SPOD base and provides a firm coupling with the floor when locked in place. The SPod can be used with the Magico S1, S3, S5 (MkI and MkII), Q1, Q3, Q5, and V2, V3, as well as with the Magico Mini speakers.
