General : High End 2.5-way floor-standing speakers from the renowned speaker manufacturer Magico from the USA.

Technology : The Magico V2 features a very heavy and solid cabinet, consisting of 17-layer birch wood pressed firmly together. Tap the cabinet and you'll immediately notice the cabinet's density is well-engineered, meaning there are virtually no resonances. The baffle is made of solid aluminum. Magico believes wood is not a good material for mounting drivers; when you screw drivers into aluminum, the construction is many times more rigid and durable. This thick piece of aluminum also ensures that driver vibrations are less transmitted into the cabinet, and cabinet vibrations are less transmitted back into the drivers. The Magico V-series were made before Magico switched to Beryllium tweeters and solid aluminum cabinets. The tweeter is a 1" ring radiator tweeter, and the woofers are made of Nano-tec carbon fiber in sandwich design with a Rohacell layer between the 2 carbon layers. Rohacell is a type of foam with excellent properties for music reproduction. These drivers are light and barely distort. This Nano-tec construction is still used today in Magico speakers such as the S3 MK3, albeit an advanced version. Because the Magico V2 is constructed quite differently from today's Magico speakers, it also sounds quite different.

Listening : The Magico V2 is an incredibly atmospheric speaker; it excels at conveying the ambience of the location where the recording took place to your listening room. Whether you're playing a jazz trio in a small café or a blues concert in a large venue, you effortlessly transport yourself to the recording location. The bass of the Magico V2 goes very deep, but it always remains tight and musical thanks to the speaker's solid sealed cabinet. The treble is considerably more refined than modern Beryllium tweeters, and the midrange is natural, melodic, and a pleasure to enjoy for hours on end. The Magico V2 speakers are not the easiest speakers to drive, so a high-quality amplifier is required, but these speakers deserve it. You don't need hundreds of watts, but watts of high quality.

This Magico V2 set is in excellent condition and is supplied with both casters and spikes that can be screwed under the speakers.
