Technical : The Mark Levinson No.30.5 is a further development from its predecessor flagship DAC from Mark Levinson: the No.30. The Mark Levinson No.30.5 is a very special D/A Converter. It is powered by an external PLS-330 power supply which features 3 separate power supplies, 1 for the digital section in the DAC, 1 for the analog section of the right channel and 1 for the analog section of the left channel. This prevents interference between the analog and digital sections from the power supply. Listening : Although the Mark Levinson was introduced 30 years ago, it remains a remarkable device in terms of both technique and sound. The musical experience delivered by the Mark Levinson No.30.5 is still at an unprecedented high level today. With live recordings, the performers are practically placed in your room, sounding so natural and refined is this reference DAC. The sound has body and weight, but it doesn't sound heavy or labored, quite the opposite, the dynamics, timing and rhythm are spot on. Listening to the Mark Levinson No.30.5 is simply an extremely musical, interesting and enjoyable experience. You are immediately involved with the recording and find yourself in a beautiful and spacious 3D music bubble where it is difficult to tear yourself away.

This Mark Levinson No.30.5 is still in excellent condition given its age, user marks are minimal as this beautiful device has been handled with extreme care, and you also receive cloth covers which the previous owner had specially made for the device. It was fully serviced in July 2021 by Dutch importer Reference Sounds, the invoice of €1.100,- for the revision is available.
