General : The Nu-Vista 800.2 from British Musical Fidelity is an integrated amplifier with exceptional build quality and excellent sound.

Technology : The Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 800.2 is the successor and further development of the Nu-Vista 800. In addition to some visual changes, the amplifier has also been improved technically. Improved transformers and power supply circuits are used for the power supply. The name Nu-Vista comes from the use of Nuvistor tubes, a special type of tube developed in the 1950s. These small tubes are known for their excellent sound, insensitivity to microphonics, and high reliability. In addition to the fact that the housing looks beautiful, the very solid construction of the Nu-Vista 800.2 also provides good protection against vibrations and external radiation. The buttons also feel great and provide good tactile feedback, something some manufacturers could still improve on. This robustness is evident from the buttons on the front to the solid speaker terminals on the back.

Listening : With a power of 300 Watts per channel at 8 Ohms, the Nu-Vista 800.2 drives virtually all speakers with ease. You can also hear this in the ease with which the amplifier plays.
