General : The Sennheiser HDVD800 is a headphone amplifier from Sennheiser with built-in DAC.

Technical : In addition to a headphone amplifier, the Sennheiser HDVD800 can also be used as a balanced pre-amplifier to drive a power amplifier. It also features a high-quality Burr Brown DAC which can convert files up to 192kHz/24Bit. A digital source is easy to connect thanks to the wide choice of digital inputs including SPDIF Coax, AES/EBU XLR, USB and Toslink Optical. Both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analog inputs are also present. The Sennheiser HDVD800 is a perfect match with the Sennheiser HD800 headphone, but it sounds actually very good in combination with virtually every high-end headphone.
