General: The Sonetto II is the larger standmount speaker in the Sonetto series by Sonus Faber. Handcrafted in Italy.

Technology: The Sonus Faber Sonetto II is compact, but features technology from the higher and more expensive Olympica 1 and Homage Guarneri Tradition lines by Sonus Faber. The tweeter is a 29mm silk dome tweeter with DAD (Damped Apex Dome) technology, extremely durable and natural-sounding. The 165mm bass/midrange driver consists of a blend of natural fiber and paper that is air-dried. This combination is available for the first time in this price range. The bass port is located at the bottom of the speaker, allowing the speaker to be placed relatively close to the wall. The Sonetto II is a compact speaker, but sounds much larger than it actually is. The woofers/midrange unit and tweeter are designed from A to Z by Sonus Faber themselves and housed in a cast enclosure. The Sonus Faber Sonetto II has a luxury appearance with a cabinet featuring genuine wood components and a leather top.

Listening: Listening to the Sonus Faber Sonetto II is very enjoyable. The treble is extremely detailed thanks to the excellent silk tweeter, and sounds refined and pleasant. The midrange is very fast and realistic. The bass is of high quality, pure and tight. But especially the soundstage that these Sonus Faber Sonetto II can produce is remarkable. The soundstage is expansive, feels natural and is not exaggerated. Everything sounds as it should and the placement of voices and instruments is very precise. The Sonetto II sounds largely similar to the Sonetto I, but sounds grander, more spacious and deeper in the bass.

This Sonetto II set was delivered to us in July 2022, is in absolute mint condition and is complete with original packaging. The speakers are in the stylish satin white finish.
