Technical : The SOtM sDP-1000 is a high-quality DAC with built-in analog preamplifier. It is a versatile device as virtually all digital inputs are present (except I2S) and multiple analog inputs are also available. This means almost any device can be connected to the SOtM sDP-1000. The signal from equipment connected to the analog inputs remains in the analog domain since the volume control is also located there. The chassis is made of solid aluminum and feels sturdy, the remote is a nice solid aluminum remote. The DAC accepts all PCM signals up to 32bit/192kHz and can also convert Native DSD files up to DSD64 as DoP (DSD over PCM).

Listening : The SOtM sDP-1000 has a very refined sound, completely free of coloration and very detailed. Voices and instruments are very well articulated and convincing. Listener fatigue is not an issue, the sound is transparent and rhythmic but absolutely not aggressive, the dynamics sound very natural and therefore not exaggerated or artificial. All things considered, the SOtM sDP-1000 is an enormous good DAC/Preamplifier in a compact chassis with excellent price-to-quality ratio. This SOtM sDP-1000 is in like-new condition and is supplied including the original packaging and accessories.
