General : Smaller sibling of the Compact Evolution One but still a substantial and very heavy standmount speaker with many innovative techniques.

Technology : The TAD Micro Evolution One is a technically exceptional speaker and has evolved even further compared to the Compact Evolution One. It is a standmount speaker but still a very solid unit. Like the CE One, it is a highly refined 3-way speaker. The bass is reproduced by a 160mm large and very fast MACC woofer, driven by a heavy and very powerful double magnet. The bass is supported by 2 bass reflex ports on the side of the speaker, covered by a solid aluminum plate. The ports show no signs of bass reflex noise, and the bass reproduction is surprisingly deep for a standmount speaker, and can play loud and fill large rooms completely. The midrange/tweeter is a 140mm coaxial unit with a new Beryllium dome tweeter and a Magnesium midrange unit. This unit is one of the best coaxial units in the world. From 420Hz to 60,000Hz comes from this single unit, making it a point source. A large and super-stable spatial reproduction is the result. The cabinet of the TAD Micro Evolution One is very heavy and completely resonance-free. A single cabinet weighs 20Kg net. The stands are specially made for the TAD Micro Evolution One and are simply perfect. Very heavy construction and acoustically silent with the Micro Evolution One securely screwed down. The speaker connections are very substantial gold-plated exemplars. The TAD Micro Evolution One is a sublimely crafted speaker, designed for small and large listening rooms.

Listening : The TAD Micro Evolution One sounds immediately fantastic. A very large and open soundstage and an absolutely beautiful and deep bass reproduction immediately stand out. You would swear that a much larger floor-standing speaker is playing. The Micro Evolution plays barely smaller than the Compact Evolution and has become even more open and faster. What really stands out is the high degree of openness and transparency. This is truly at a very high level and can compete with major brands such as Magico, Avalon, and Wilson. Distortion is extremely low, and it is clearly audible how the high build quality pays off in perfect reproduction. This set of TAD Micro Evolution One is only a few years old, comes with the optional stands and is in absolutely like-new condition. They are also completely complete with all original packaging.
