The Wadia 521 DA Converter is a DA Converter of very high quality, and the 521 is equipped with a direct drive system. You can easily control your power amplifier directly, and adjust the volume using the aluminum remote control. The Wadia 521 is equipped with DigiMaster 2.5 Upsampling Software. This algorithm is the famous Wadia filter, without pre and post ringing, and excellent phase response. The Wadia 521 can handle all digital signals up to 24Bit/96KHz. There are plenty of connections, namely AES/EBU, Glass Fiber ST, Toslink, and 2 x SPDIF. The output stage, like the Wadia S7i, is a fully discrete Class A amplifier stage with balanced design and no global feedback. Really very good. In terms of sound, the Wadia 521 is a true Wadia with many of the sonic characteristics of the Wadia S7i. A grand 3D image, with plenty of fine dynamics. The bass reproduction is, as with most Wadia top products, truly fantastic. This Wadia plays many classes better than the current and cheaper 321 series.
