General : Analog preamplifier with built-in, fully adjustable Crossover module for subwoofers and main speakers

Technical : The Aavik Acoustics C-280 preamplifier is a fully analog-built preamplifier, Single Ended preamplifier. This means no balanced configuration. At Aavik Acoustics they believe that the unbalanced configuration sounds better. The Aavik Acoustics C-280 is full of noise-suppressing passive and active techniques such as Tesla Coils and dither circuits. Everything has been done to keep the signal as pure as possible from input to output. The power supply of the new C-280 is also special. It is a digital power supply, controlled by sine waves instead of the usual square wave waves in switched mode power supplies. The power supply is at least 10 times stronger than what the C-280 will ever draw. The Aavik Acoustics C-280 contains 72 Active Tesla Coils (Ansuz trademark) and 160 Active Square Tesla Coils. Additionally, Ansuz Dither Circuits have been integrated in 8 locations. The enclosure is made of Ansuz/Aavik NBCM (Natural Based Cabinet Material), which has a very low resonance frequency.

Optional Crossover : The Aavik Acoustics C-280 and C-580 can be equipped with an optional high-end analog crossover. This crossover has 2 separate outputs, in addition to the standard outputs. With this you can make the ideal separation between the main speakers and a subwoofer. The crossover frequency is adjustable. You can set the subwoofer output (Low Pass) to 30Hz, 35Hz, 40Hz, 45Hz, 50Hz, 55Hz, 60Hz, 65Hz, 70Hz, 75Hz and 80Hz. The same applies to the Main output for the power amplifier, then of course as High Pass. This quality crossover in the Aavik controls the analog signal of the main speaker and the subwoofer. The main speaker is then freed of the very lowest frequencies and certainly the smaller speakers benefit greatly from this. The woofer no longer has to work as hard and as a result the speakers sound better, more airy and have higher capacity. IM distortion also decreases significantly. Due to the excellent technique, there is no latency (time delay) between the main speakers and the subwoofer.
