General: The Ansuz Acoustics Mainz A2 is an excellent Ansuz Acoustics powercord from the mid-range segment. The cable is finished to a very high standard with high-quality gold-plated connectors in an aluminum housing and effective shielding. The Ansuz Acoustics Mainz A2 uses Ansuz Acoustics' unique 'Direct Ground Connector' technology (a technique that minimizes ground potential between different devices, resulting in a lower noise floor) and 'Double Inverted Helix Coil' technologies (a technique where cables are wound in a special way and configured in a double helix pattern that reduces self-inductance in the cable). The A2 series is a clear step forward compared to the previous generation of Ansuz Acoustics cables, yet they have not become much more expensive. This fact ensures that new standards are set in the price-to-quality ratio of Ansuz Acoustics cables. The sound quality is approximately equal to, if not better than, the more expensive previous C (Ceramic) series from Ansuz Acoustics.

Sound Characteristics: The Ansuz Acoustics Mainz A2 has an enormously natural and organic sound, just like all other cables and products from Ansuz Acoustics. The sound of the Ansuz Acoustics Mainz A2 is not necessarily very different in character from that of the lower X2 and P2 series, but the sound is clearly more beautiful, better and better defined. Everything you hear is pure music, we could talk about the body of the bass and the detail in the treble. But with Ansuz Acoustics, we don't need to focus on that; instead, we talk about the enormous musical qualities that Ansuz Acoustics products bring with them. The relatively more affordable Mainz A2 is absolutely no exception to this. The spatial imaging is large, airy and pleasant, and you are immediately drawn into the performers and the music.
