General : The sound quality of the music you stream is not only dependent on your streamer and the streaming service or storage location you use. The network switch can also play a huge role in perfecting the sound quality of streamed music. Before an internet signal enters your home via an ethernet cable, many noise signals are picked up from outside and via the World Wide Web through equipment where noise floor is not considered, as it is not important, for example in laptops, gaming consoles and PCs. So although the incoming signal is usable, it is contaminated, and you hear that reflected in the sound quality. A contaminated signal sounds restless, compact and resonant. The Ansuz Acoustics network switches are designed with a sharp eye for an efficient way of noise reduction and signal distribution. The idea is that you go directly from your modem/router to the Ansuz Powerswitch D2 with a LAN/Ethernet cable. The Ansuz Powerswitch D2 then filters out contamination from the incoming signal and lowers the noise floor. This provides for cleaner, but especially also more refined, quieter and thus more analog sounding audio reproduction.

Technology : All Ansuz Acoustics Powerswitches are equipped with an innovative grounding circuit from Ansuz Acoustics. The Ansuz Acoustics Powerswitches suppress noise through their own Tesla Coil technology. The difference between the Ansuz Acoustics Powerswitches lies in the amount of Tesla Coils used and the quality of the Tesla Coils used, with the most expensive Ansuz Powerswitch, the D-TC Supreme, containing the largest amount and most advanced Tesla Coils for the most optimal noise reduction and sound quality. The Ansuz Powerswitch D2 is the second most expensive model among the most expensive Ansuz D-TC Supreme. The Ansuz PowerSwitch D2 is audibly better than the Ansuz X-TC and the Ansuz A2 PowerSwitches, with the Ansuz D2 having 2 Anti Aerial Resonance Coils which the X-TC and A2 do not have, and the D2 having as many as 90 Active Square Tesla Coils and 2 Dither Circuitry on board. The Ansuz PowerSwitch D2 therefore has much more extensive noise reduction compared to the X-TC and A2. The Ansuz Powerswitch D2 features a high-quality and stable internal power supply. All Ansuz Acoustics Powerswitches are equipped with a built-in Ansuz Acoustics PowerBox. This means that by means of a 3.5" Jack cable you can actively engage the shielding of certain analog and digital interlinks of the D2 series and higher from Ansuz Acoustics. On the D2 cables from Ansuz Acoustics there is a block with a 3.5" Jack input. When you connect the Ansuz interlink to the Powerswitch by means of this cable, the shielding of the interlink is active and the cable grounding runs through the Powerswitch D2. This does provide for a lower noise floor and better sound. All Ansuz Acoustics products connect harmonically extremely well to each other and support each other to minimize the grounding potential between audio equipment.

Sound Characteristics : The first thing you notice when you connect the Ansuz Powerswitch D2 is the calmness and visibility of the soundstage. It is as if a thin curtain in front of the speakers has been removed and you are more involved in the music. There is more emotion, a darker background and better atmosphere transfer from the recording location to your living room. The definition of instruments is more clearly audible and the sound is smoother as it were. The Ansuz PowerSwitch D2 is a clearly audible step up in sound quality compared to the more affordable Ansuz X-TC and Ansuz A2 PowerSwitches.
