General : The DAC300 is the flagship D/A Converter from the French audio brand Atoll. The housing of the Atoll DAC300 is very solidly constructed. The internal design is also of very high quality. It features no less than 3 separate linear power supplies built in, 1 for each stage inside the unit. The D/A conversion is performed by the proven ESS Sabre ES9038PRO DAC chips. The interior looks neat, logical and well finished.

There is a wide choice of digital inputs. There is a USB-B input, AES/EBU XLR input, as many as 3 Coax RCA inputs and 3 Toslink Optical inputs. The Atoll DAC300 can be used as a preamplifier thanks to its built-in volume control, but this can be bypassed if you want to connect the DAC300 to a preamplifier or integrated amplifier. The Atoll DAC300 can convert PCM signals up to 24bit/192kHz via the SPDIF inputs, and the USB-B input accepts PCM signals up to 32bit/786kHz and DSD signals up to DSD512.
