General: Beautiful 3-way loudspeaker with external crossover and tri-wire connection.

Technical: The Avalon Ascent MK II is a 3-way floorstanding loudspeaker with an external crossover that is applied before the signal enters the loudspeaker. Another unique feature is the tri-wire connection located at the bottom of the crossover block. We therefore recommend using the Cardas Hexlink Golden 5-C tri-wire cable, which is extremely suitable for this. Of course, single or bi-wiring cables can also be used by means of jumpers. With a weight of 90 kg per loudspeaker and 28 kg per crossover, the Avalon Ascent MK II is an incredibly solid loudspeaker. Inside the large, massive cabinet is an 11" woofer, 2" midrange dome, and 1" titanium tweeter dome.

Listening: Once properly positioned, a beautiful soundstage reveals itself that invites you to take a closer look. With, for example, "These Bones" by the Fairfield Four, it was no effort at all to point out the singers! The midrange and treble are beautifully clean and highly detailed, supported by the wonderful punch of the large 11" woofer. Additionally, this bass is incredibly tight thanks to the massive cabinet and the absence of a bass port. In short, a beautiful speaker that, despite its age, still has a lot to offer! The original manual is also included. Due to the weight and size of these loudspeakers and the absence of the original packaging, it is not possible to ship these loudspeakers with a transport service. Pickup is preferred, or ask about delivery options.
