General : The B&W 805 D4 is the standmount loudspeaker from the current Diamond 4 series. The 805 D4 is musically significantly improved compared to the D3 version.

Technical : The B&W 805 D4 is a very modern and stylish loudspeaker. It features a pure diamond tweeter for the high frequencies, housed in its own enclosure mounted on top of the loudspeaker. This enclosure is milled from a single block of aluminum and can move independently from the rest of the enclosure, thus decoupled from the woofer housing. The woofer is a Continuum driver as Bowers & Wilkins calls it, a woven composite material that has replaced the old yellow Kevlar woofers of B&W with the arrival of the D3 and 700-series loudspeakers. Light, stiff and durable. The loudspeaker enclosure is rounded and heavily built; this enclosure resonates hardly at all and is vented at the front by means of a bass reflex port. Because this port is at the front, it is possible to place the loudspeakers somewhat closer to the rear wall.

Listening : Sonically, the B&W 805 D4 goes further than the D3 in terms of naturalness, spaciousness and listening comfort without losing detailed reproduction. The B&W 805 D4 delivers a very complete performance for its size. The sound is neutral, very rich in detail but well balanced. The bass response is tight and rhythmic, and the midtones and high frequencies are very pronounced and clean. Overall, the B&W 805 D4 is a beautifully finished and very musical loudspeaker, especially for this secondhand price including the associated FS-805 D4 stands on which they are bolted. Stylish and stable.

This set of B&W 805 D4 is in excellent and undamaged condition and is supplied including the stands and associated accessories/booklets. The loudspeakers or stands are not available for individual purchase. Unfortunately, the original packaging has not been retained, but the original foam pieces are included to ensure safe transport in the back of your car.
