General: Bricasti from the USA originally manufactures high-end digital products for the professional world. The Bricasti M1 Gold LE is the luxury variant of the Bricasti M1 SE. The Bricasti M1 Gold LE, together with the M1-SE, is the successor to the first of a series of high-end products from the manufacturer, the Bricasti M1 Classic. It is one of the first completely dual mono constructed DA Converters in the world. The Bricasti M1 Gold LE is also one of the few DA Converters suitable for playing native DSD and DXD files.

Technical Details: The Bricasti M1 Gold LE is built with CNC-milled aluminum sections and heavy aluminum plates. You will not find sheet metal here, but only resonance-free plates. Even the top plate and bottom plates are milled. Everything to enhance sound quality. All parts are heavily gold-plated and provided with text via laser inscription. Built to ultra-high standards and with a very long lifespan. The gold top layer is extremely expensive and very exclusive. The Bricasti M1 Gold LE is a fully dual mono constructed DA Converter and has been improved in several ways compared to the M1 Classic. Like the M1 Classic, the Bricasti M1 Gold LE has 2 Mono 24 Bit DA Converters built into 1 enclosure. Each channel uses a Stereo ADI-1955 DA Converter in a fully balanced Mono configuration. However, the M1 Gold LE is point-to-point soldered. The M1 Gold LE also features specially designed gold-plated Stillpoint feet for this version. Additionally, the power supply has been enlarged. 8 different digital filters are available, including the latest Apodizing Filters (Minimum Phase) and linear filters. The Bricasti M1 Gold LE locks onto all frequencies from 16bit 44.1KHz to 24bit 192KHz and on DSD and DXD Files up to 384KHz. Various digital inputs are available. AES/EBU, Toslink, SPDIF, BNC, and USB-2. The analog output stage is a pure Class A discrete output stage built on extremely expensive Arlon boards. By default, the output voltage of the XLR output is set to 2 Volts, but the jumper can also be moved so that the output voltage is adjustable from 0.5 Volts to 17 Volts. You can drive your power amplifier directly with the Bricasti M1 Gold LE. You then have a high-quality fully balanced high-end setup with a minimum of components. Also, an excellent clock is used for the conversion. An ultra-low 6 picosecond jitter value is the result.

Sound: The Bricasti M1 Gold LE is a DA Converter of the highest quality. The sound is completely analog, there is not a trace of digital harshness left. The soundstage is enormous and exciting. A lot is happening. Vocal reproduction is also very special. Pure in structure and very precise placement. The artists appear live before you. Very special indeed.
