Description : The Bricasti M12 is a unique device on the market. It is a Bricasti M1SE Dual Mono DA Converter with an integrated separate Reference Quality Analog preamplifier. It also contains a built-in network player which is suitable as a RoonReady Player, Audirvana Endpoint or JRiver Player.

Technology : The Bricasti M12 is built like the other Bricasti products. Completely made of solid aluminum panels, which are machined by the CNC milling machine to nanometer precision. The Bricasti M12 is derived from the Bricasti M1SE. The Bricasti M12 is a reference-class Dual Mono DA Converter with a separate PCM converter and a separate discrete DSD converter, with the most common digital inputs, such as High Speed USB 2.0, AES/EBU, Spdif over Cinch, Coax and Toslink. The Bricasti M12 has a 6 picosecond clock built in for the USB input. Ultra precise. The Bricasti M12, unlike the M1 and M1SE, has a 100% analog preamplifier output board. This fully balanced analog board now controls the volume not digitally, but in the analog domain, with an R2R ladder network of expensive Vishay resistors. Uncompromising signal processing in class A and always maximum digital resolution at every volume is the result. Furthermore, the Bricasti M12 has an analog unbalanced RCA input and a balanced XLR input available. So it is also an analog preamplifier. The quality of all components is of reference quality. The ceramic audio boards are unique and extremely expensive. The Bricasti M12 has 3 completely separate power supplies, including 3 transformers. The Bricasti M12 has a standard UTP network connection and a built-in high-end streamer. With this connection you can operate the Bricasti M21 as a RoonReady player, Audirvana Player or JRiver Player. Bricasti M12 thus functions as a streaming endpoint. Even DSD and DXD can be sent directly to the Bricasti M12 without any form of conversion.

Listening : The Bricasti M12 MDx sounds fantastic. Pure analog, without a hint of harshness. The soundstage is grand, pure and beautifully balanced. The 3D presentation is ultra precise, and you perceive an unprecedented richness of tone. The soundstage is truly 3D and has a certain fleshiness that the competition does not have. Thanks to the built-in analog preamplifier, digital resolution is always 100%, and the Bricasti M12 sounds enormously powerful, even with the most difficult power amplifiers.
