General : A very young pair of used speakers from 2023 of the Dynaudio Contour 30i from Denmark, a modern, stylish and very musical speaker.

Technology : The Dynaudio Contour 30i is the improved (hence the i) version of the Contour 30. The 30i has received a new tweeter, an Esotar 2i. This tweeter is supported by a Hexis dome behind the membrane which ensures better airflow at the rear of the tweeter, which in turn provides a less distorted and cleaner output. Behind the midrange and bass woofer are new, improved spiders which also have better air passage allowing the midrange and woofer to move more freely. The crossovers have also been simplified and improved. It is a 2.5-Way design, which means that the midrange is not filtered downward, which provides a smoother transition between the midrange and bass regions. The Dynaudio Contour 30i has been fully measured in Dynaudio's superior Jupiter measurement room so they can be adjusted with extreme precision.

Listening : The Dynaudio Contour 30i is a very powerful but also refined speaker. You can take it in many directions. Like most Dynaudio speakers, if properly driven, you can play very solid electronic music or rock at high volume. The sound remains rock solid and the bass reproduction is tight and tireless. But that is certainly not all that the Dynaudio Contour 30i has to offer. Put on a nice piece of jazz by Ben Webster, or a quiet vocal recording by Shirley Horn, and the Dynaudio Contour 30i can certainly convey the emotion from the artist to the listening position. The Dynaudio Contour 30i is a neutral speaker that is free from coloration, but has a pleasant, slightly warm and refined character. The best way to drive the Dynaudio Contour 30i is with a stable and dynamic amplifier such as an Aavik I-180, which has power, speed and also sufficient composure. But of course you can also use an amplifier with a fuller character such as a McIntosh or Pass Labs.

This pair of Dynaudio Contour 30i is still very young and comes in the very clean Nordic Silver (grey wood) finish. The original transport crates are present as well as the grilles which are in original packaging.
