Technical: The Dynaudio Contour S3.4 LE came to market in 2015. With the arrival of the LE version, quite a few improvements were implemented. The Dynaudio Contour S3.4 LE features a new, improved and lighter tweeter with 'Precision Coating'. The crossovers use better components and the internal wiring has also been improved. The Dynaudio Contour S3.4 LE is thus a significantly improved version of the standard Contour S3.4. The Dynaudio Contour S3.4 LE is an open system with a large bass reflex port on the rear that is tuned deep. Because this bass reflex port is tuned deep, you won't have excessive trouble with too much bass if you place the speakers slightly closer to the rear wall. Nevertheless, we recommend keeping at least 50cm from the rear wall, though this of course varies depending on the situation, music genre, and volume at which you listen. The Dynaudio Contour S3.4 LE has relatively below-average efficiency, yet with a high-quality amplifier with moderate power you can perform excellently. For bass-rich electronic music, large orchestral works, and/or drum solos at higher volumes, we recommend a stable amplifier with at least 150 Watts per channel at 4 Ohm for the most impressive experience at higher volumes.
