The LC-2 MK3 is made with a completely new copper formula, now made from pure OFHC copper. Fully shielded and equipped with excellent connectors. This very high quality powercord is ideal for hifi and video components, and Gigawatt Powerstrips and Powerconditioners also perform excellently with this cable.

Gigawatt uses only pure quality in their products. The difference between all Gigawatt cables lies in the choice of materials, the amount of conductive material, the damping properties and the shielding and possible application of Nano filters.

The Gigawatt LC-2 MK3 consists of 6 solid core pure OFHC copper cables. OFHC stands for Oxygen Free High Conductivity 99.997% copper. The Gigawatt LC-2 MK3 powercord contains 2 x Phase, 2 x Neutral, 1 x Earth and 1 uninsulated tinned wire. The latter is for contact with the shielding foil along the entire length of the cable. This earth wire is connected to the Shuko connector, but not to the IEC connector. This is to prevent a ground loop. Each conductor is 1.5mm2 in cross-section. The insulation of the LC-2 MK3 is made of Polyethylene and the vibration damping layer is made of PVC. The LC-2 MK3 powercord is fully shielded with aluminum foil. The 2 + 2 bundles are wrapped together in a PVC insulation sheath for stability and vibration damping. The very low impedance of the cable makes the LC-2 MK3 suitable for better Hifi and High End audio and Video installations. The connectors are the Gigawatt G-010G and G-030G connectors, made of pure OFC copper and protected with a gold coating layer.

Sound Quality :

The Gigawatt LC-2 MK3 is clearly set one step higher than the LC-1 MK3 cable. The LC-2 MK3+ cable can carry more current and you can hear that. Truly good dynamics, coupled with a pure sound image. The bass is tight, solid and very well defined. The Gigawatt LC-2 MK3 is the ideal mid-range powercord in the High End Audio world, and the sound difference from standard supplied cables is significant.
