General

The Gigawatt PF-2 MK2 is the Top Line 6-fold Power Strip from Gigawatt. Designed as a power distribution point (power outlet strip) for superior High End Audio and Video installations. The Gigawatt PF-2 MK2 features many advanced power purification circuits, designed for the Evo series Power Conditioners, and protects your installation against overload. There are no current-limiting components, such as fuses, but rather large pure copper distribution bars, preventing any bottleneck effect. The dynamics of your system remain optimal. The Gigawatt PF-2 MK2 is the perfect "power outlet strip" for any High End Audio and Video installation.

Despite the fact that the Gigawatt PF-2 MK2 is a favorably priced Top Line Power Strip from Gigawatt, it is the best Power Strip for all your devices. You will be amazed at the performance gain compared to a regular power outlet strip. The Gigawatt PF-2 MK2 is very solidly built, entirely metal.

Technical

The Gigawatt PF-2 MK2 is primarily built as a High End power outlet, with heavy copper distribution bars, to supply your system with power, without restriction. The power distribution bars are made of polished Cu-ETP copper. The outlet sockets are mounted directly on the copper bars. The connection geometry is entirely built according to the Star principle. All outlet sockets are provided with the same length of copper. The bars used are a generous 4.0mm2 thick, and the wiring used is 3.0mm2. The contacts themselves are the very expensive Gigawatt G-040 Shuko plug contacts. These outlets are provided with heavy brass bars, which are silver-plated and polished at Gigawatt.

The large contact surface and the heavy silver layer guarantee a very long service life, even with repeated insertion and removal of plugs.

In addition to optimal power distribution, the Gigawatt PF-2 MK2 contains an extra heavy parallel filter construction. This is to suppress small power disturbances, without affecting the speed of the current. The Gigawatt PF-2 MK2 is also equipped with a blue Power LED to indicate whether the contacts are live, and you can safely insert your plugs. The Gigawatt PF-2 MK2 also has a red Phase LED, which indicates whether you have inserted the plug correctly. If the red phase LED is on, you should insert the connection plug the other way around. If the phase LED is still on, you have a ground problem. Your outlet then has no or poor ground. The Gigawatt PF-2 MK2 has special overload protection by means of Ultra MOV Varistors. Overload cannot occur and your valuable High End system is guaranteed to be immune to lightning strikes and the like. This protection circuit also does not affect current speed. However good the Gigawatt PF-1 MK2 is, the Gigawatt PF-2 MK2 is clearly better in every respect.
