Overview : The new Gigawatt PowerSync Plus powercord is Gigawatt's latest power cable offering. The PowerSync Plus is an improved and thicker version of the standard PowerSync. Made with conductors from pure OFHC copper. Fully shielded with aluminum foil, PVC, and braided fiberglass & nylon, and equipped with excellent connectors. This high-quality power cord is highly suitable for many hifi and video components, and Gigawatt power strips and power conditioners perform exceptionally well with this cable.

Gigawatt uses only pure quality in their products. The differences between all Gigawatt cables lie in the choice of materials, the amount of conductive material, the damping properties, and the shielding.

The conductors of the Gigawatt PowerSync Plus consist of 3 x 2.5mm2 OFHC copper conductors. The conductors are multi-strand, consisting of 12 solid core wires with a diameter of 0.514mm. OFHC stands for Oxygen Free High Conductivity 99.997% copper, an extremely pure material that causes little to no distortion. The Gigawatt PowerSync Plus power cord also features an uninsulated tinned wire for contact with the inner shielding foil layer along the entire cable length, ensuring the entire shielding is active and no external radiation enters. Around the inner aluminum shielding layer are 2 additional shielding layers: 1 layer of PVC, and around the PVC layer is the outer layer made of braided fiberglass & nylon. The extremely low impedance of the cable makes the Gigawatt PowerSync Plus suitable for high-quality Hifi and High End audio and video installations. The connection plugs are the excellent and solid Gigawatt G-010G and G-030G connectors, made from pure OFC copper and protected with a gold coating layer for optimal signal transfer at the contact points.

Listening : The Gigawatt PowerSync Plus is a cable that does everything right. Beautiful dynamics combined with a pure sound character. The bass is tight and well-defined. The Gigawatt PowerSync Plus has thicker conductors than the standard PowerSync (without Plus), which makes the PowerSync Plus sound somewhat more powerful, but also more controlled than the standard PowerSync. Because of this, the PowerSync Plus is more suitable for use with amplifiers, but actually the PowerSync Plus performs better than the standard PowerSync on all types of equipment. The Gigawatt PowerSync Plus is the ideal entry cable into the High End Audio world, and the sound difference compared to standard cables supplied with equipment is substantial.
