General : Minimalistic, Dual Mono integrated amplifier. Made in Italy.

Technology : The input stage of the Goldenote S-1 Signature is based on a circuit developed by Goldenote called 'Mirror Amp', which provides very low distortion. This circuit is built around discrete transistors (no op-amps) operating 100% in pure class A. The output stage consists of 1 pair of transistors per channel, each mounted on their own heatsink for heat dissipation. The signal path is directly coupled, without filters or protection circuits. This approach has been taken to maximize sound quality, but extra care must be taken to ensure the speaker outputs are not short-circuited (for example, if the connections on a speaker cable touch each other), otherwise the amplifier can be damaged.
