Description : Reference quality CD/SACD player with analog XLR, RCA and CAST outputs.
Technology : The Krell EVO-505 features 3 separate DA Converters. 2 are used for SACD playback and one for CD playback. All circuits operate in Class A for high stability and excellent sound quality. The Krell EVP-505 has various filters on board which determine the sound quality. The DSD Encoding has a bandwidth up to 1 MHz. All designed to make the final analog outputs time-correct and extremely low-noise. The Krell EVO-505 has analog outputs available via XLR Balanced, Unbalanced RCA and the proprietary Krell CAST.
Sound : The Krell EVO-505 CD/SACD Player is an exceptionally musical player with ultra-high resolution. Details become audible that were never noticed before. The sense of "Space & Time" is unimaginable. Dynamically speaking, it can hardly be better. The bass reproduction is, characteristically Krell, very precise, full and massive. Brass instruments sound bright and precise, and equally spatial. The Krell EVO-505 is simply one of the best-sounding CD/SACD players on the market. This Krell recently had a service, and has a new laser installed. The condition is perfect, and the original box is included.
