General: The Linn Klimax 350A is a fully active floor-standing loudspeaker.

Technology: The Linn Klimax 350A is a technical masterpiece. It is a fully active 5-way loudspeaker system. All amplifiers and electronic crossover filters are built into this loudspeaker. The Klimax 350A features the latest Chakra amplifier technology. Not Class D, but Mosfets, but deployed in a very special way. Read more about it in the Chakra White Papers. The bass section consists of 2 20cm long-throw woofers in a sealed enclosure. The bass units are driven by a 1000-watt Linn Chakra amplifier and are controlled by Motional Feedback via a pickup element. This means super-tight and contoured bass from a compact enclosure. The bass is also adjustable in strength and depth. The mid-bass driver is a 160mm fiberglass unit with its own 400-watt amplifier. The midrange and treble range is reproduced by the Linn 3K driver array, a 75mm dome, a 25mm dome, and a 16mm silk supertweeter. These 3 units are mounted in a cast aluminum construction, freely suspended in the air. This section is also actively driven by a combined 600 watts of amplifier power. The 25mm tweeter is adjustable. The Linn Klimax 350A is therefore a reasonably compact floor-standing loudspeaker, but is absolutely a full-range system, suitable for small and large rooms.

Sound: The Linn Klimax 350A is a full-range system, which means complete and very deep bass reproduction down to a very deep 24Hz, extending to well over 33KHz in the high range. Sonically, this Linn Klimax 350A is a true high-end loudspeaker that you can comfortably place alongside expensive B&W's, Magico's and Avalon loudspeakers. The tonal balance is very beautiful.
