General : The Magnepan MG .7 is the smallest full range loudspeaker from Magnepan, and it is a beauty.

Technology : The Magnepan .7 is a planar dipole loudspeaker that really makes music. The MG .7 is a perfect example of ultra high-end reproduction at a ridiculously low price. Where dynamic loudspeakers move air with cones and domes, the Magnepan MG .7 moves air over a large surface area. It is a 2-way quasi ribbon. Similar technology to electrostatic speakers, but without the associated electronics such as high-voltage modules and power supplies. In the MG .7, the voice coil runs through the foil, and this foil is driven directly by it.

Listening :What is special about the Magnepan MG .7 is the enormously airy and pure reproduction that "ordinary" loudspeakers simply cannot achieve, except in extremely expensive systems. The MG .7 is relatively large, 127cm high and 42cm wide, but only 4 cm deep and easy to move due to its light weight. Optimally place the Magnepan MG .7 70cm-100cm from the wall, and after listening you can easily slide the MG .7 back to the wall if desired.
