General : Versatile compact electrostatic loudspeaker from Martin Logan

Technical : The Martin Logan Purity is an electrostatic loudspeaker with a conventional active bass. The crossover point is at 450Hz, the electrostatic panel handles the entire range between 450-23,000Hz. Everything below that is handled by two 6.5" aluminum bass units at the bottom. The great thing about these loudspeakers is that you don't necessarily need to buy a separate power amplifier, as it has a built-in 200 Watt amplifier. You can connect the Martin Logan Purity analogly using RCA cables to all kinds of equipment with volume control, but you can also use your own amplifier and connect it to the speaker terminals on the back of the loudspeakers. On the back you'll also find a switch to adjust the bass unit, giving you the option to reduce the bass by 3dB, boost it by 3dB, or keep the bass neutral.

Listening : The Martin Logan Purity sounds transparent and refined. They are small loudspeakers, but given the fact that the bass is active and adjustable via the switch on the back, you don't compromise on body and bass quality.
