General : The MBL 121 is an exceptional speaker on the market. MBL manufactures omnidirectional speakers. Speakers that radiate sound in all directions. The highly advanced speaker units are made by MBL themselves, and are exclusively used for MBL. The MBL 121 is the smallest in MBL's Noble Line. The midrange and treble units are identical to the € 250.000,00 reference model from MBL. From 600 Hz onwards the midrange driver is active, and up to 30.000Hz the sound is radiated all around. The bass section is also exceptional. 2 small and very fast woofers are positioned opposite each other, and deliver their bass, down to just below 50Hz, omnidirectionally. The bass units are supported by a front-firing reflex port. The MBL 121 is beautifully constructed and superbly finished, and it sounds fantastic.

Listening : Listening to the MBL speakers is a special experience, and this 121 is no exception. The omnidirectional radiation creates a unique soundstage. An enormous room, with a tremendous amount of energy builds up around you. The MBL 121 itself becomes completely invisible. The 3D image is enormous. The placement is entirely different than with a conventional speaker. Less precise, but certainly with more fun. It's a joy to listen to the MBL 121. The efficiency is not very high, but with a good and powerful amplifier the MBL 121 can really deliver. Quick, dynamic and very open it sounds, and because of that, truly live. This set of MBL 121 speakers are finished in piano black lacquer, and are supplied with the original stands, brass spikes, and the manual, and they are ready for many years of musical enjoyment in your home.
