General : Integrated Single Ended tube amplifier.

Technical : The New Audio Frontier 845 SE is equipped with the 845 output tube, and switched in Single Ended mode. The one tube amplifies the entire signal. The New Audio Frontier 845 SE operates entirely in Class A, and delivers continuously 2 x 25 Watts. The components used are of very high quality. Hand-wound output transformers made of silver / copper litz wire. The bias setting of the 845 tube is adjusted automatically. The rectifier is the 5R4GY tube, which guarantees a very pure and complete tube power supply. The amplifier weighs 50 kg net, so a heavy audio rack is recommended.

Listening : A few things stand out acoustically. The New Audio Frontier 845 SE is fast, and open, and disappears completely. The soundstage is completely separate from your speakers. A large holographic image with many fine details reveals itself. The New Audio Frontier 845 SE is an excellent tube amplifier, with the typical tube glow, and many interesting details. 2 x 25 Watts may not sound like much, but just listen to the New Audio Frontier 845 SE. Even on the mighty Eggleston Ivy Signature it sounds excellent, and that is quite a challenging speaker. This New Audio Frontier 845 SE received new tubes in 2013, and has been played very little since then. The appearance can be considered as new.
