Technical : The Pass XP-10 is a remote controlled balanced preamplifier. Balanced from input to output. The circuits are very solid and simple in design. The volume control is also balanced, and is adjusted via an R2R ladder network. Wear-proof and very precise. This is the latest version of the XP-10, with Autogain. At higher volume levels, the XP-10 automatically switches to a higher Gain setting. The remote control is a solid aluminum version, and works very precisely. The Pass XP-10 is equipped with a large display which clearly shows the volume level. The display can optionally be dimmed.

Sound : The Pass XP-10 is a very fine preamplifier. Very neutral, and very musical. Thanks to the simple design, with only 3 active Gain sections, the Pass XP-10 sounds very nice, open and pure. Not compressed or over-controlled. Simply very fine. Tonal colors come through clearly and the dynamics are really excellent. This Pass XP-10 is the ideal preamplifier for Pass balanced power amplifiers, but the Pass XP-10 also performs excellently in other systems.
