General : Sleek floor-standing transmission line speaker from PMC Audio.

Technical : The PMC Audio Fact.8 is a narrow, but deep floor-standing speaker that utilizes PMC's proprietary Advanced Transmission Line ( ATL ) technology. On the back you will find 2 switches, each with 3 positions. With 1 switch you can reduce the treble by 2 dB, keep it neutral, or boost by 2 dB. With the 2nd switch you can keep the bass neutral, reduce it by 3 dB, or reduce it by 6 dB. The tweeter is a 19mm dome with a wide surround, resulting in a total diameter of approximately 34mm. The crossover is at 1.7 kHz, everything below that is handled by 2 pieces of 140mm drivers from PMC themselves. These units can make enormous excursions, and in combination with the ATL, this provides impressive and very pure bass reproduction for such a narrow speaker. The PMC Fact.8 is not difficult to drive ( 89 dB at 1 Watt and 8 Ohm impedance ) and allows for easy matching and placement in the room. Especially through the switches on the back, you can make them sound excellent in virtually any space. This set is finished in beautiful Graphite Wood, a dark finish, slightly different from black, yet a beautiful, neutral, stylish design.
