Technical : The Revel Salon 1 is the largest and heaviest model Revel has ever built. The Salon is a 110kg heavy speaker that is impeccably constructed and sonically still ranks among the absolute world's best. The Ultima Salon 1 is a 3.5-way system with an additional Ambiance tweeter on the back. The units are of very high quality. A 28mm aluminum dome tweeter, a titanium midrange driver, 3 aluminum foam woofers work in a completely silent and resonance-free cabinet. The Revel Ultima Salon is not heavy for nothing. The sensitivity of the Revel Ultima Salon 1 is moderate and a powerful amplifier is a requirement. The Revel Ultima Salon 1 is somewhat adjustable via several switches to the listening room where they will be used. The ambiance tweeter on the back is fully adjustable.

Listening : The Revel Ultima Salon 1 is a true full-range system and the way this system reproduces dynamic contrasts is very special. The sound image is completely stress-free, and the way everything is apparently reproduced without any effort is remarkable. The dynamics of the Revel Ultima Salon 1 are overwhelming. From ultra-deep bass to super treble, everything comes through undistorted and very clear. This set of Revel Ultima Salon 1 speakers was supplied by the Dutch importer and is in excellent condition. Some signs of use on the cabinet are present, but not really disturbing given the size of the cabinet.
