General : The Sonetto II is the somewhat larger compact standmount speaker in the Sonetto series from Sonus Faber. Handcrafted in Italy.

Technology : The Sonus Faber Sonetto II is compact, but features technologies from the higher and more expensive Olympica 1 and Homage Guarneri Tradition lines from Sonus Faber. The tweeter is a 29mm silk dome tweeter with DAD (Damped Apex Dome) technology, extremely durable and true to life. The 165mm bass/midrange driver consists of a blend of natural fiber and paper which is air dried. The bass port is located at the bottom of the speaker and vents at the front, allowing the speaker to be placed relatively close to the wall. The Sonus Faber Sonetto II is a compact speaker, but sounds much larger than it actually is. The Sonus Faber Sonetto II features a luxurious cabinet shape with a leather top.

Listening : Listening to the Sonus Faber Sonetto II is extremely enjoyable. The treble is exceptionally detailed thanks to the excellent silk tweeter, and sounds refined and pleasant. The midrange is very fast and realistic. The bass is of high quality, pure and tight. But especially the soundstage that this Sonus Faber Sonetto II can create is remarkable. The soundstage is expansive, feels natural and is not exaggerated. Everything sounds as it should and the placement of voices and instruments is very precise.

This set of Sonus Faber Sonetto II is finished in elegant satin white. The set is supplied including Sonetto Stands (value € 450,-) where the speakers can be safely mounted. The original packaging has been preserved.
