The Spectral DMA-260 S2 Power Amplifier is an evolution of the DMA-260. Now featuring improved SHHA (Spectral High-speed Hybrid Amplifier) amplifier modules and a redesigned internal layout. The Spectral DMA-260 S2 is a powerful stereo power amplifier. With the Spectral DMA-260 S2 you experience not only the spectacular soundstage and dynamics that Spectral is known for, but also the warmth that is so important for beautiful analog playback. The Spectral DMA-260 S2 is a fully discrete built high-speed power amplifier with several very special characteristics. The chassis of the Spectral DMA-260 S2 has been renewed compared to its predecessor; the chassis is more solidly built, has a tighter finish, and is no longer completely sealed. This allows the amplifier to dissipate heat more easily. The lifespan of this amplifier is extremely long. The DMA-260 S2 power amplifier delivers 200 watts continuously at 8 ohms and can excellently drive virtually any speaker in the world. The Spectral DMA-260 S2 is a very fast and dynamic amplifier; it reaches full power very quickly, which ensures rhythmic and extremely accurate reproduction. The speed of starting and stopping the DMA-260 S2 ensures that it reproduces the music signal with high precision, so the amplifier doesn't sound analytical, but rather very analog, as if no amplifier were connected that imparts its coloration to the sound. Like most Spectral equipment, the DMA-260 S2 sounds very open, clean, and extremely musical, with a gigantic and precise 3D soundstage. Compared to the older Spectral-260, this DMA-260 S2 is a clear step forward. It articulates better and reveals more layers in the recording.
